The heavy silicone is perfect if you are someone who wants a deep, deep tissue massage. It is very firm but also has give. Because of this, the "lobster" shape is slightly malleable, so that the width between the claws can be adjusted to fit your neck. If you pull the claws apart, they want to snap back together, which means that they exert pressure towards each other, and the massage nubs actually squeeze a little. It can also be flipped upside down so that the claws can be in your lower back, squeezing together on either side of your spine, and let me tell you if you have knots in your lower back, it is heaven. It is great to use lying down but I prefer having it behind my back while sitting on the couch because it is easier to move around and control the pressure. You kind of have to learn to use it, it isn't just for lying static on the pressure points. 1) Place TheraPoint on the floor or on your bed.
2) Lie down so that the top of TheraPoint is just underneath your neck, and the bottom is around the middle of your back.
3) Relax in a stationary position so that the 14 trigger point nodes press into your skin and target the key knotted areas in your trapezius muscle.
4) For your first session, use TheraPoint for 2-5 minutes, and complete one session per day.
